The National Black Theatre will host a national convening for 20 leading Black Institutions in the American Theatre. The four strategic cores that this convening will explore are capitalization, development, networking, and peer to peer sharing. The four days will consist of two parts: three days of a private round table discussion amongst the 20 practitioners [Think Tank] and a public live-streamed conversations [Public Summit]. Catalyst is inspired by the online discussion on Howlround.com curated by Jonathan McCrory, NBT’s Director of Theatre Arts Program.
This program is partially funded by MetLife Foundation & Theatre Communications Group. Also partners working to make this convening happen are Howlround.com, Black Theatre Network, and Aloft Harlem.
